Action Figures One of my favorite video reviewers Peaugh has posted a review for one of my favorite upcoming releases. The Transformers: War For Cybertron deluxe class Optimus Prime action figure. It has been a mysterious toy of sorts with the way the chest plate works on the robot and vehicle modes. There's lots to meet your eye on this toy and hopefully this review will give you some new / more appreciation for this Convoy. Thanks to S250, we have some comparison images of Transformers: War for Cybertron Optimus Prime and Classic Optimus Prime figures. The robot modes are comporable but the War for Cybertron vehicle mode is a bit smaller than the Voyager Classics version. Take a look at additional images including the back of the War for Cybertron figure (sans head) and two comparison images of the figures in vehicle mode. The folks over at UGO have landed the first pics of War for Cybertron's Optimus and Megatron toys fully painted and in both robot and alternate modes! Check them out here. The Transformers Collectors Club has posted the cover to their 31st issue of their club magazine, and it reveals the Transformers: War For Cybertron Bumblebee figure in robot mode. The image reveals a Bumblebee which is very similar to the video game counterpart, albeit a little more gold. The posting on the club's official website also reveals that the article will spotlight a Q&A session with Activision. A future issue of the club magazine will also feature Jim Sorenson, who will provide a sneak peek of the products available this year. Update: Transformers Collectors' Club has officially released the Bumblebee image that was previously reported here. More information on the reveal of issue #31 is available in this article. So after a couple of reports that the upcoming Transformers: War for Cybertron video game from Activision and High Moon Studios would be accompanied by a toyline from Hasbro, Inc., it has been officially confirmed that this is indeed true. The official statement was obtained by Game Informer, who requested comment from Hasbro, Inc. Read about it all after the jump. | ||||||||||||||||||||
