The website promoting the upcoming Transformers The Ride at Universal Studios in Hollywood is going live this weekend and users will be able to play games to win various prizes, according to an email sent out. The website, www.PrepareForBattle.com, which has been hosting communiques from General Morshower, will launch this weekend where players can win numerous prizes, including exclusive Transformers art, numbered collectible embroidered badges, and a trip to N.E.S.T. headquarters located in Culver City, CA. UPDATE: Universal has uploaded an 8-second preview, available after the jump. Universal Studios has confirmed to Screamscape that the they will run a 30-second commercial to promote the new Transformers: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood during the Super Bowl Pre-Game Coverage on February 5th on NBC. “The spot will culminate with a call to action, challenging viewers to enlist at PrepareForBattle.com as N.E.S.T. volunteers within an elite AUTOBOT – human combat force.”

The Universal Studios Hollywood official website have posted a new update for the upcoming Transformers: The Ride. The third video in what appears to be a series, again features General Morshower with a report that give us a heads up about a certain Decepicon Leader returning to deliver mayhem. The Transformers Trilogy 7-Disc Limited Collectors Edition and the Transformers Dark of the Moon 4-Disc Blu-ray 3D sets are coming out on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, and to celebrate, the official Transformers Twitter page has posted several videos offering sneak peeks at the special features that you can enjoy. The limited edition set is available at Amazon right now for $89.99 and the 4-disc set will cost $39.99 available everywhere. The videos talk about animating Driller, Shockwave's little pet, desigining Sentinel Prime, filming in Chicago, and a general overall sneak peek at the special features. Michael Bay is set to do Transformers 4, or so Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson says so. In an interview with MTV to promote Journey 2, Mr. Johnson spoke about doing upcoming flicks like Pain and Gain with Mr. Bay, who has said multiple times he will work on the film prior to going back to the giant robot franchise. "I'm leaving all of my options on the table," he said back in December 2011 when a rumor popped up that he was close to committing to a deal to return for Transformers 4. Continue reading...

Thanks to the kind fans at FMH who have posted a report on the Transformers display at the Toy Fair 2012 event going on in the UK this week. Highlights include news on new products coming to the Generations line that is to include 8 new figures. The Transformers Prime Weponizers with Leader class figures that feature 4-modes of play and more. Then there is this new thing they call Optimus Maximus. Gallery updated with new images Thanks to {Zero} over at the Allspark, who located some of the new Bot Shots toys that he found at his local Asda. According to {Zero}, they only seemed to have the four or five of these figures including Bumblebee, Starscream, Prime, Barricade and Megatron. The game is said to be like paper, scissors, stone. Each robot has a three sided rotating symbol in their chest with fist, blaster and sword where one is chosen and then transformed into vehicle mode. The Academy announced the nominations for the 84th Academy Awards this morning, and as expected Transformers Dark of the Moon has nabbed some Oscar Nominations. The third film in the Transformers live-action series grabbed a nod in Sound Mixing (Greg P. Russell, Gary Summers, Jeffrey J. Haboush and Peter J. Devlin), Sound Editing (Ethan Van der Ryn and Erik Aadahl), and Visual Effects (Scott Farrar, Scott Benza, Matthew Butler and John Frazier). The film is under fierce competition in all three categories, including Martin Scorcese's Hugo, which has landed a Best Director and Writing. Thanks to the Transformers Galaxy, we have some looks at the exclusive trailer that has been painted up with what looks like an old fashioned circus theme. The black painted banners across both sides show large Universal Studios Singapore and Transformers The Ride logs. Nothing to amazing, but will like be parking on many a fan's shelf. It is official! The Transformers: The Ride 3D will opening May 2012 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Following the opening in Singapore, fans will be looking forwards this opening. As the memories of this summer's blockbuster Transformers Dark of the Moon fades from the shopper's memory, Hasbro is bringing it back with their new line dubbed Transformers Movie Trilogy Series. One of the first figures to come out in this line is the Deluxe Optimus Prime with MechTech Trailer. The figure combines the original Wal-Mart store exclusive figure along with the trailer from TakaraTomy's Optimus Prime Chronicles figure and this Full Metal Hero gallery gives a great look at this figure. Thanks to the Higekuma Toy Toy Blog who has posted a review in-language of the the Kerokero Ace Keroroscream action figure that was offered as an elusive with the Japanese kids Bon Bon magazine. The figure is a repaint of the Transformers Legends Class Starscream. As you can see the Kerokero Ace includes various sticker sheets, included blank ones to make your own, that allow the fans to customize their own figure. Fans can submit their designs to enter a the Lucky Draw Dark of the Moon Megatron campaign.
