Hasbro Studios was at the Television Critics Association (mostly TCA for short) this morning and they discussed what to expect when The Hub, a cable network between Hasbro Studios and Discovery Communications, launches on October 10, 2010.

Two press releases coincided with the appearance, one that announced the cast of the upcoming Transformers: Prime cartoon, a CGI-based show, and the other announcing that the original Generation 1 cartoon Transformers would also air on The Hub.

The following is the Transformers: Prime cast announced in the press release (PDF); however, characters other than Mr. Cullen and Mr. Welker are still unofficial at this point.

Peter Cullen ("Transformers" Trilogy – Optimus Prime)

Frank Welker ("Transformers" Trilogy - Megatron)

Gina Torres ("MadTV")

James Remar ("Dexter"; misspelled as "Remer" in press release)

Josh Keaton ("Justice League: Circle of Two Earths")

A separate press release (PDF again) announces that the original Generation 1 Transformers cartoon would also be airing on The Hub. Additional shows acquired include GI Joe: A Real American Hero, Doogie Howser, M.D., and The Wonder Years.

It is unknown when these shows will air on the network, but there is a great possibility new episodes of Transformers: Prime will air in the "Kids Afternoon/Kids Prime" block that takes place from 1 PM to 6 PM.
